At the work site, a hydrogen-powered six-rotor drone rose up in the air under the operation of the staff of State Grid Heilongjiang Ultra High Voltage Company, and operated efficiently on Yongha A and B lines. Through the high-definition camera configured by the drone, the transmission lines were inspected and photographed in an all-round way.


This hydrogen electric drone undergoing work was developed by Hydrogen Air Technology. Since November 2023, Hydrogen Spin 4 has been operating efficiently for a year.

The staff said: the performance of traditional drones in extremely cold weather will be seriously reduced, line operations still need manual intervention. After using the hydrogen electric drone, we only need to manipulate the drone to carry out the operation, which greatly improves the operational efficiency and also protects the safety of personnel. We hope that more hydrogen drones will take off in Heilongjiang to help solve winter operation problems.
